Out of date? Then update it!

Tonight I just reinstalled a new OS on my laptop. The following work, was to install anti-virus software and the firewall. My setup files are too old, so I had to run the Live-Update program to get it up to date--I am using Norton.

I updated, updated, and updated again, and almost every install finished, there would be a dialog which asked me to reboot the system. So I rebooted, rebooted and rebooted all over again. My whole evening was wasted on it and I had even no time to say good night to my dear husband when he decided it was enough for him. Now my poor man has fallen in sleep and there is only me, sitting in front of my old fellow's 14 inch screen, typing these non-sense words.

I kept updating my anti-virus software every week and try to avoid my little fellow getting infected. I spend all day long to read those wired news coming from every conner of the world. And I also take a whole evening or even the whole night to chat with my friend through MSN. I'd love to know the newest things, but am I myself really up to date? It seems that I know everything, everyone, but have I really done anything? Or I am just being a cold-blooded machine which automaticlly updates itself every second?

I once heard some said, "Technology used to save our time, but nowadays it just takes all of them away." He is a genius.
